Imagination

My current reading says that it is important to take an imaginative approach to research…. not making it up but being creative about how you look for the literature and how you approach the project as a whole.

I like this. It sounds a bit different compared to the usual prescriptive, cut and dried approach but I have heard that the best mathematicians and scientists are the creative individuals who can look at problems outside the square. Also that music helps children with literacy and numeracy.

So it’s not all order and method and ‘the little grey cells.”
